An exciting line up of Pride activations will be taking place throughout the portfolio this month.
WELLINGTON
Pronouns & Terminology Workshop (lunch provided) Thursday 14 March 12pm Pūtahi 2 Bowen Campus
Enjoy a lunch and learn hosted by InsideOUT as part of Wellington Pride 2024. The session will be a deep dive into pronouns; what they are, how to share yours and how to respect others. In this short workshop we will explore commonly used terms relating to takatāpui, intersex and rainbow communities. It will be a safe space to ask questions and gain greater confidence with language and concepts relating to gender, sex and sexuality. All are welcome. Please email [email protected] to RSVP.

AUCKLAND
Airbridge Artwork (1 Feb - 29 Feb), Auckland
Located in the Airbridge between Commercial Bay and HSBC tower, you'll find Dušo by Shannon Novak. Dušo celebrates the plurality of love. Dušo (which translates “sweetheart”) draws on traditional Croatian symbols, in particular, licitar hearts. These hearts are handmade decorated biscuits used as ornamental gifts to bring joy and celebrate love. Novak, who is Croatian, queers this traditional symbol in Dušo through unpicking, reconfiguring, and recolouring.
PwC Tower Light Show (1 Feb - 29 Feb), Auckland
All month until midnight, the PwC will light up the skyline with Pride colours. (Please note: 10 Feb will be Red to acknowledge Lunar New Year).
Summer Mixer (15 Feb, 4-7pm), Auckland
An all welcoming summer party on the Sky Terrace. Everyone in the Precinct portfolio can come along for some games, food, drinks and live music. First 70 Club members will get special treats from the Club! RSVPs via the Club app are recommended.
Pronouns & Terminology workshop (21 Feb, 12 – 1pm), Auckland
This session with InsideOUT explores the reasons why it's so important to honour and reflect the language people use to describe themselves. It will unpack the use of pronouns, including our key tips for becoming a natural at sharing your own and strategies for adjusting to using new pronouns for colleagues and others in your general life. RSVPs via the Club app are essential.

Leading with Inclusivity - Speaker Series (27 Feb, 12 – 1.30pm), Auckland
This special Commercial Bay pride event will involve an empowering and inclusive discussion on leadership with Dean Hall, CEO at RocketWerkz, Tania Restall - P&C Director at Chapman Tripp, Mark Russell, COO at PwC, and Anouk Schrevel – HR Manager at IHG. The panel will be hosted by Elen Hawke of Colliers. Through the lens of the LGBTQ+ inclusion, the panel will delve into the ongoing importance of these conversations, share insights on managing and fostering an inclusive leadership approach, the importance of allyship and explore why such discussions remain vital for corporate excellence.
