Eliza
Property Administrator, Wellington

After graduating from Otago University with a degree in Psychology and Human Nutrition, I joined Precinct in the summer of 2022 in a temporary concierge role at NTT Tower in Wellington. Upon completion of my contract, I secured a permanent position as a Property Administrator. The Property Administrator role is a mix of supporting the Wellington property team as well as the wider organisation. Since I started, I’ve been lucky to see some significant projects come together including Willis Lane and Bowen Campus and being a part of the teams delivering these projects has been hugely rewarding. Having never previously considered a career in property, Precinct has opened my eyes to the industry and all the opportunities that exist. It has been a steep learning curve but very fulfilling.

Lauren
Head of Auckland Office Portfolio

I joined the Precinct team in 2011 when it was only a small team with big aspirations. Since joining, initially, as the Executive Assistant, I’ve progressed through a variety of roles including HR, GM - People, Asset Management, GM - Generator and am now Head of Auckland Office Portfolio. The business has been instrumental in my property career, providing opportunities for me to gain experience across different roles and supporting training and development, a great example of this is the support Precinct provided me to undertake my master's degree from 2018-2020.  In addition to the best assets and transformational projects we embark on - the culture and people-orientated ethos fostered throughout the business by the Executive leadership team, is what makes Precinct such a great workplace to belong to.

Rattan
Facilities Manager

I was first introduced to Precinct when I relocated to New Zealand from Dubai and started working for a security company as an after-hours concierge within Precinct’s portfolio. Realising the opportunities that Precinct offered, when the chance to join the team as a full-time concierge at HSBC Tower and Aon Centre arose, I successfully applied. In my role as Concierge, I was exposed to all sides of building services and progressed into the role of Assistant Facilities Manager within the Auckland head office. In the past year, I have further progressed into a Facilities Manager role and am now responsible for independently managing Quay Park and the Kegg portfolio of commercial assets, which Precinct manages. Since joining the team, I have changed roles three times and with each role I have been exposed to more of the business which has allowed me to continue to learn and grow my career. I love that no two days are the same and I’m out and about talking with people, building relationships, and helping resolve issues. It offers me great job satisfaction and I’m excited for the opportunities ahead.

Hema
Senior Health and Safety Advisor

I started at Precinct in 2022, and it has been a huge learning curve. When I started, what I knew about the commercial construction sector could have fitted on the back of a 75mm Tek screw. I had a lot of knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) but little experience within construction and development. Precinct provided me with plenty of opportunity and support to transfer the knowledge I did have, to their portfolio of businesses. It is great to work with a forward-looking company that values the importance of HSW and engages positively with new initiatives. Precinct has stood tall through many challenges and continually ensure health and wellbeing are at the centre of everything they do. There is much to like about Precinct – the freedom to develop the H&S strategy, the opportunity to engage positively with lead contractors at construction sites, the boot camps, the offsites, The CLUB activities, the birthday lunch and the hated and loved lolly jar!
